Preview

Here's a little preview of my next couple (4 can count as a couple. Right?) projects. I made a trip (or 2) to Joanns this weekend and had some fun. I will give you a hint on what one of these projects is later this week...in the mean time I am super excited to get started!

I Just Wasn't In The Mood

Have you ever just have a day or two where you don't feel like blogging? That was me the last few days. And I imagine this will continue as all my shows come back on TV, how exciting. My Tivo is full again and I am super excited for tomorrow night's Grey Anatomy!

Anyhow, I just plugged my camera in and will update you all with pics... sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! (or just look for a minute or two, it really won't kill you!)A couple weekends ago we had a full house. We watched Andres 2 nephews and his niece (this is 'D' above with Becks, they each took their turn tormenting him all weekend!) We made dinner, played a couple games, went swimming, watched 2 movies and then passed out, leaving the house looking like a war zone! It was fun and Connor enjoyed playing with her cousins! This is Becks when Connor's done with dinner...not sure how he got up there but he is great at cleaning the dishes! This is Connor's new car seat. She loves sitting in her big girl chair, watching her DVD player. I was just starting to stress about having the transfer this seat back and forth between us and the sitter or breaking down and buying another till I got some great news. My dear friend Tobey (as in Spiderman McGuire) is giving us one of Ruby's seats (apparently it was only used for one for their vacations). I am super excited to not only get a 2nd car seat...it's a FREE and FAMOUS 2nd car seat!

I would like to interupt this picture show with a message about Tina and how great our neighbor/babysitter is. Andres just walked in and called me downstairs to show me a dozen golfsmith bags (my first reaction was to hit him over the head and return all the f*&@%in golf crap he just bought) but soon realized they were left overs from Don's (Tina's Mr.) Vernon PD charity golf tournament today. They each have water, gatoraide, a can of pringles, a snickers (he may find a few of those missing), a sleeve of golf balls, tees, and a few other items. So nice of them to spread the love and free snacks to last a couple weeks! Here's a good pic to share: This is the chicken I BBQed for dinner tonight. I had to take a picture because I was sooo proud of myself. Sunday I made boneless ribs that were so dry I found pieces Andres got tired of chewing in his napkin when doing the dishes (gross but that's really how bad they were). So tonight I did my best and I don't think I could have done any better. It was tasty, perfectly cooked on inside and outside with the right amount of juices. Yeah to me and a good dinner!!

And this is our pumpkin head...fast asleep! My camera died during this picture so it was the best I could do, but I had to capture her little feet (actually they are big like mine) hanging out while she sleeps sideways in her crib. She's crazy.
All right ladies and gents...I've paid my blogging dues for the last couple days. I am off to continue reading the Stephanie Plum series (I just started book one, 'One for the Money' and so far so good. Edward Cullen has yet to make an apperance but I haven't given up hope yet...I'm only on chapter 3!)

Don't I feel left out

Check out this map Do you see a problem with it too? CA is not a pink state like the rest, sucks! Now before you just write me off for crazy or ask how many Malibu and Cristal Light's I've had with lunch, let me explain my problem. This here is a map of the states with Hobby Lobby locations. All these cute and creative bloggers I read about talk about the Hobby Lobby religiously so I did some research so I could partake in the excitment. However, unless I plan a quick vaca to Utah or Arizona (not likely), I am SOL. California sucks!

Playdates, Stairs and Loosing my mind

So I had something really good to blog about tonight and now that I sit in front of my computer...I have NO idea what on earth it was. But I promise, it was good.

Sunday Connor had a play date with Julia and she had so much fun. After lunch Mel took us to this tasty frozen yogurt place called Nubi where you make it all by yourself and they charge you by the ounce. Genius! Come to find out, there are about 3 similar places local to me and I had no idea. Here I thought Coldstone was the greatest...this stuff is fat free people! Fat Free! (which means, you can fill the cup to the brim and still not feel bad! Actually, I never really feel bad cause it's too tasty!)

dang it...I still have no idea what I wanted to blog about. Hmm...

We took Connor to the pool tonight and she had a blast. Andres played with her till her lips turned blue, then brought her home and climbed in the bathtub with her to continue the fun! I didn't get a picture but promise to next time...it's rather amussing watching a 6'3" man try to squeeze in a bathtub let alone with fifty toys and a 20 lb tike.

Still upset I can't remember. But I am happy about one thing...I vacuumed the stairs this weekend! What a flippin chore that was. Earlier in the week I dusted the banister (which sucked too!) but holding the vacuum to hit each stairs was quite a feet and I finally gave in and used the attachments to finish it off. In the end, I find it was worth the struggle...I love a clean carpet!

but I hate loosing my mind...

Slightly Intoxicated

So tonight I made it through 2 rounds of Malibu and crystal light followed by a generous pour of bacardi and crystal light...andi fee lpr et ty go ood. We went to a BBQ across the sstreet at Tiona's house (connor's sitter) and it was good. tasty food, friend;y company and teenagers who's job was to keepglasses full...[;lease note I ammaking no attempts tocorrectmy grammar or spelling beuase I am too confortableto do so right now. I love my beuighbors. Z(sorry,. hit a wrong key on that one...all well) but i am sad becuase they are about to put in an offer on a hew house, which isnot on our street might I add. They are goodpeople and i am happyu that the new house is really close to my work and I have been informed all babysitting plans are stillon no matter when or where they move to. Connor had fun too...playing with her friends and eatting 2 pieces of chocolate cake! (sorry strict parents, we let her splurge tonight). Anyhow, Ijust thought i would give blogging a shot while I amnot completely in blogging mode...i think i like it and am really not concerned if you do or not. This blog is all about me, isn't it?

btw-the funeral potatos were a hit...and Madison seemed to love the cake I made too! Thanks pillsburry, your recipe for confetti cake will be passed onto my children and my children;s children and so on...

Happy Holidays!

I love today's weather! I put Connor in some cute jeans and a long sleeve shirt. I didn't feel obligated to put on 3 layers of deodorant. No need to run the A/C all day. I will admit, I like the warm weather for it's outdoor activities AND because Connor looks so stinkin cute in her bathing suits. But I welcome Fall with open arms. Last night I did something I rarely do, especially at this time of the year. I pulled out my pumpkin decorations! Ok, so I've never been big on the overkill decorations for specific holidays and I really only found 3 pumpkins to put out...but it's a start. Which brings me to my next open armed welcome...Pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING! My mom brought us pumpkin flavored coffee creamer to start the season off. This got me excited and thinking about my favorite pumpkin stuff...which I plan to share with you now (how exciting for you!)
  • Pumpkin Spice latte
  • Pumpkin & Chocolate Muffin at Claim Jumper (warm with butter!)
  • Pumpkin Cheese Cake from Claim Jumper
  • Pumpkin Ice Cream from Coldstone (mixed with caramel and graham cracker crust!)
  • Pumpkin Trifle
  • Anything else with Pumpkin in it...Yummy!!!

Doesn't it all sound just way too good? Yeah to the holidays (but not yeah to holiday shopping already!)

A Clean Break

It took me almost all week but I finally finished book 3. It was good, just as I suspected. It took me longer than the others because I had to go to work during the day and was forced to be without Edward (cue sign). But at 8:30, when Connor was down for the night, I went back to him. He greated me with open arms till I finished Sunday morning and went out to pick up #4

I began Breaking Dawn Sunday night, again after Connor went to bed. I did squeeze in a chapter or 2 in between playing and cleaning, I needed Edward to know I was still around. But last night, I had to say goodbye. It was a sad night/morning when I finished at 4am. But he was taking over my life and I knew what had to be done. I made a sacrifise and said my goodbye...till I got to work this morning and check out the trailer for the movie. Not too shaby Edward, not too shaby at all.

New Kicks

Check out Miss Thang and her new Converse.

I Heart Edward

I finished #3 of the twilight series and am waiting for my dearest to get home so i can go get #4 from mom who finished it last night. I have decided, however, that as soon as I am done with #4 I will start scrapbooking again. I am like 2 years behind and when I have a new kid who just turned one...I feel like a bad mom. I don't even have a baby book for her! Wow, that's like something a third time mom does...not a first! someone slap my hand.

btw-since the last time we spoke, Connor has recovered from Roseola and her spots and fever are gone! yeah...

All about me being tagged

I’ve been ‘tagged’ by Cheryl (thanks girl, I needed another excuse to talk about me)!
She forgot to post the rules so I did a little search of my own and here's what I found. (figures she would break the first rule)

Here are the tagging rules:
1. Post the rules on your blog
2. Write 6 random things about yourself
3. Tag 6 people at the end of your post (ok, 6 people is a lot by the way!)
4. If you are tagged, DO IT and pass it along

Random Facts 'All About ME'
1. I hate doing the dishes AND washing loads of white clothes! BUT, I also hate looking at dirty dishes and not having whites to wear. Sucks sometimes! Dishes are just annoying because they stack up so quickly and whites suck cause it's always the little things that take forever to fold and put away. You know, like socks and undies and everything else that doesn't fold as easily as a towel!

2. (I promise these random facts will get more random and entertaining as the overworked hampster in my brain starts running on the wheel again...he may need motivation in the form of ice cream!) Cool, my random fact number 2 is I LOVE ICE CREAM! I think it should be a basic food group really, don't you? AND on the top of the pyramid (of course the pyramid would be a little off with the new addition, but the food group planning nutritionist people can make it work, I have faith)

3. I bite Connor's finger nails. Wait, is that a bad fact to share? Shoot! When do I know where to stop and when I've gone too far? dang it. Ok, if you don't like that fact or think bad of me for doing that to her... ah, whatever. who am I kidding? I don't care. I bite Connor's nails...so there! It may be a bad habit but I thought I heard the nurses at the hostiptal when she was born telling me it was an option. And she thinks it's a game so she plays along and let's me do it. Whatever works I say, whatever works.

4. (I really have to list 6 of these bad boys?) I think I have a mild form of OCD. Is that random? Anyhow, I have this issue with cleaning and getting really cranky/irritable/unpleasant when I don't feel it's clean enough. Andres begs me all the time to just sit down and watch tv, or read a book. Actually, Saturday night he begged me which is why I opened Twilight (and am now started on the 3rd in the series already. And, he just bought me the 4th today. And, (yeah I know, the ands are getting overworked here), he bought the hardback version! now that's love people, that IS love! They cost twice the price and those smart publishers only print them in hardback for the first few months (at least per my experience new books are generaly always printed that way whenever I am itching to buy it!)

5. Which leads me to random fact #5! I tell really long story with TONS of pointless info. See #4 for example, I started with being OCD and ended with my new crush on Edward Cullen.

6. (Finally) I wear contacts.

Ok, I'm done. Sorry about that last one, but I am getting tired and I haven't hung out with my vampire yet tonight. So that's all you get. I know, I know. You all want a encore, ask me some questions and I'll share...but otherwise. Good night peeps... Good night.

Oh yeah, the following are tagged: Shoot, Cheryl can I tag you and those you already tagged again? Or is that cheating? Hmm...
Andres ( Love you Mr!) , Terri (mom, you so need to update your blog already!) Aracely (got my package today and you are over the top! Thanks sooooo much, you rock!), Lisa (Connor says hi to you and the fam!) Mrs. Schoosh! (Sarah, you and Andres need a lesson in blog updates girl!) Donna (love the new house, can't wait to see more pics!)
Whew! That was tough. Thanks guys and happy tagging!

4 Day Weekend!

This was my day Sunday: This was my day Monday:

And this was my today: I got hooked on this book the moment I read the first chapter. Although they are about vampires and each run around 500+ pages, they are a rather quick read, probably cause you can't put them down! I'm not a vmpire fan, but I was sold the moment I met Edward. I will begin #3 tomorrow and am so excited... I would be glad to add your name to the pass on list if you would like to see for yourself. Or you can wait for the movie to come out in November!

Then on to our day today. Connor was running a fever all weekend so we took her in to see Dr. Asaad at 8:30 am. After we got home around 4pm, we were spent. They took blood tests right away and then we had to wait for this super baby to pee! They placed a bag on her around 10ish this morning and she didn't pee till 3pm! Can you believe that? Anyhow, they were able to run tests on the urine right away to rule out a bladder infection, but now we wait for the blood results to find out what's the problem. They suspect Roseola but we won't know till, A: she either breaks out in a rash by tomorrow or B: the blood tests come back with an answer. In the mean time, she's on motrin, tylenol and cool rags to control the high temp (which has been staying between 102 and 103...better than the 104 it kept hitting yesterday!)
