Another Project...cause I needed more

Check out this little fabric flower I 'threw' together to match a dress I made for little Miss Delaney's 1st birthday. I really need to do up a tutorial so everyone can see how easy this stuff is! The flower is made from scraps and the headband is from Target.
Next I'll show you pictures of the silk flower headband I 'threw' together for Connor on Monday-even easier than this fabric flower!

Connor's Booty Cushion

Look what i 'whipped' up last night!A very cute cushion for Connor's toy box/bench...even though i don't think there are any toys inside...i actually wonder what is inside...hmmm

I will admit I was dreading this project, until i got started. It was 'sew' easy and everything fit on the first try(which is also a first)! I used the zebra print which are the tabs on her curtains, and then leftover green and floral print for the sides. I still have some art projects to complete for the walls and then I'll give a tour again!

Thanks for the padding sis, it is the perfect size!

Thrifty Decor Chick

You MUST check out this 'chick's' blog! Sooo many great ideas and I think I will attempt all of them! 2 days ago she created a post on how to make a $20 sofa table. $20!!! I fell in love with the idea, printed one of the pictures, and took it home to the Mr. He is a wood working man and loves any excuse to use his new saw. Not only did Andres jump at the chance to build me something, he had ALL the supplies needed! He already had the wood, the brackets and the paint. Such a great and FREE idea! I will admit, he did add his own "more sturdy" twist-but who am I to argue with a man who is willing to stop, drop and build in one night!So when I got home from work yesterday, the table was done, painted and the mess cleaned up!! What do you think? I love it and was so excited to fill it with misc. items from around the house. Is this not such a great a simple project. I didn't spend a dime to do it and everything shown is stuff I already had! Can you tell I am excited??!!?? I will post pictures of the finished room soon...still got a couple projects on my list.

Easter

We celebrated Easter at Hootieville again this year And I made connor a new skirt, and me a new dress! (I'll have to take a better pic of the dress. I was pretty impressed with myself on this one!)
Connor loved the water fountain more than the Easter Egg Hunt!

But don't get me wrong...she still wanted to candy too!

Marisa and Derek joined the fun and Derek loved making a mess!

And Connor loved to clean it back up again!

Sew Easy!

I have been saying for months I wanted to make a penifore dress for Connor...I found this cute girly skull fabric at Joanns (saw it at Wal Mart too!) and HAD to have it. Tell me this is not WAY CUTE!
I ran out of black rickrack and will have to buy more tonight so finish her up...

My mom had this black and white fabric 'lying around' ...it's perfect!!

The skull fabric even has a silvery sparkle to it too!
