My Escape
I heart crafting...anything. Last night I got home and made dinner, baked a cake then toasted pumpkin seeds, hemmed Connor's Dorothy costume then dusted my front room, sewed on some of Tina's sofa cover till I broke another needle, decorated the cake then cleaned my kitchen, painted 'K's for Michelle and watched my shows.
Talk about a fulfilling night!

Last night we headed over to Tina's for homemade spaghetti and pumpkin carving.
Andres and Tina's niece, elbow deep in our pumpkin goo! Austin, Madison and Emily's family working on their seed collecting too!
Austin digging deep!
Connor hanging out with Rica, looks like a comfy spot to chill.

Orange you glad I brought my camera
Another tough day at the office. We have a customer who works for Frito Lay and I met him today! He left us with a few bags of Cheetohs Cracker Trax and apparently they were a hit with Connor. Not only does she look lovely with her hair crimped from her recently removed ponytails...she is covered in cheese sporting the full mouth look. That's our girl...stuff them in there before someone tries to take them!

If you bake it, they will come
So I got suckered into making another round of the ever famous Amish Friendship Bread. This time I baked it with Banana pudding and bananas and it-is-tasty.
However, I have 3 starter bags I can pass on. What, do I hear free giveaway in this post?
I would be happy to use the random number picker thingy and choose a couple lucky winners! Leave a comment if you want to join in on the chain baking fun!
hehehe...

Me Likey
.
Meet my friend Chris Cornell. Chris Cornell, meet my friends.
My brother and I were listening to the radio the other day and his new song came on. And that's when it hit me... I heart Chris Cornell. I mean, his eyes, his rock star look, and his voice. Who wouldn't swoon?
What artist do you heart?

The Wrong Kind of Support
This is my husband's weakness...Donuts. Plain, glazed, round, soft, sweet, warm, yummy donuts. Do you know how hard it is to live with a man who has this kind of addiction? It sucks.
Now I already know what you're thinking...at least it's not an addiction to Nudey Bars, Cuervo Gold, or Target. And while I am thankful for that fact...my pre-prego clothes are not! You see, my dearest, sharing is caring, husband buys a dozen at a time...and makes sure to get not one, not two, but three of my favorites too! Three donuts? And what kind of wife would I be to turn down such a thoughtful gift?
So I support his addiction... with a glass of milk.

Halloween Crafting
My cute trick-or-treat bags! These are for Madison (my sitter Tina's daughter) and Connor.
This is for my niece, Hannah Banana Nut Muffin

This was my excuse to buy cute 60% off halloween fabric yesterday. I stayed up till 2:30 this morning finishing (even though the kids don't need them for 2 more weeks!). I made these plus 2 more for my (or Tina's) friend Emily's girls. Such an easy, cute and personal craft idea for any reason (or season)!

OCD Much?
Things like this make me happy. Look at the organization and the even amount. It's a perfect rectangle! Is it strange that I see these things and am proud of the person who packed them? I mean, they did it the right way...clean and organized. What are the symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder again?

One Comment Wonder
I have come to accept the fact that I am not a big hit in the blog world. Let's face it...I like to post pics of Connor more than I like to complain about random happenings and focus on entertaining the masses. Take my last 3 posts for instance....all Connor, all the time. They were cute and cuddly...not pee my pants funny. But I'm OK with this peeps...I like my ONE comment for each post.
That being said, I would like to bring to every one's attention that my commenter's seem to be on rotation. This, in fact, is truly flattering. To think, you each took the time to meet and work out a schedule on my behalf. How exciting and special for me! I can't wait to see who's turn it is to comment today...and tomorrow...Oh! and Sunday...who's up Sunday?

Blown Away at the Park
Connor and I braved the wind Saturday and headed to the park. I think she had fun! Too bad she learned the hard way, you can't walk up the slide yet!
(*sorry for the sideways pic, couldn't get it to turn!)

Strategy
Most of you already know I'm in a Bunco group...but I'm not very good. I did a google search for techniques but there are none! Is it true, Bunco is a game of luck? That sucks! I have NEVER won a dime and it makes me sad. I'm not usually a sore looser but enough is enough peeps. Why can't I win? I have been consumed with frustration but will suck it up and wait my turn. I put my faith in the bunco gods and wait...and wait....and wait....

Liz for the Day
Connor came to work with me yesterday and was a VERY good girl! The highlight of the day was when she got my purse and walked around the shop with it. She took out my name badge from a tradeshow I worked over the weekend, put it on, and carried my keys in the other hand. She even insisted on carrying my purse when we left that night too. What a little diva!

Please, make yourself at home
Connor's big day at work Monday...she made herself at home! (For some reason she felt the toys go outside the box while she sits inside... hmmm.)And watched a couple rounds Elmo, Shrek and Frosty The Snowman (our animated DVD collection is limited). My days are long when Connor comes to play, and we both get very excited when Dad take over the afternoon shift. (not that I don't love her tremendously...she's just a lot of work. In a good way of course!)

Now isn't that Better?
I cleaned the bathrooms tonight and my husband gave me some great advice. Use rubber gloves sick-o! He pulled out his new industrial strength pair and handed them over. Me Likey! And to think I've been scrubbing the toilets bare handed for how long? I know, I know...I'm pretty disgusting. But hello people...that's why God invented soap! right? Anyhow, as of now, I vow to always wear rubber gloves when scrubbing anything bathroom. Promise!

A Good Night
So I have decided that no one is to bother me during the hours of 8-11 pm on the following days:
Sunday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Sorry peeps, but the TV is callin' my name. This 'stay at home' week on NBC is killer. I am so excited that all my shows are on again and now I can sit in front of the TV to craft! Sorry books, but your at the bottom of my list.
Here are a couple things I did tonight during Pushing Daiseys, Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money:
I finally made these 2 throw pillows for my couch. I bought the fabric YEARS ago for my mom to make them, but finally took it back when I realized the task was easier than bugging her. I l-o-v-e them and am super excited to watch Grey's Anatomy on them tomorrow night.
I also had a bit of a sweet tooth and made these:Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins...with Lemon Glaze. YUM!
Best of all, while I did these, Andres was working on this:
It's my RED desk. My parents gave it to us and I asked Andres to make it bold and different. I thought it would be a fun change!
*I also finished a skirt and started Connor's halloween costume...but I am about to turn into a pumpkin and I'm not talkin' the latte from Starbucks.
