Cora's Playground Revealed

Remember Cora?

Last Saturday was the opening of Cora's Playground. Thank you to everyone who bought items from Etsy that went to help build this amazing place!

Brassy Apple is hosting a crafting summer series and I joined in. This week she asked her readers to share an idea for the car.

Well...it just so happens my lap trays are perfect for the car!

I keep Connor's filled with:

coloring book

crayons

flash cards

(sometimes) a small tub of playdough

books

....and whatever else she drops in.

It is great because the side compartments holds just enough while the top is a flat surface which allows her to do anything...even eat lunch! You can find these on my Etsy Shop and get them personalized with just about anything!

Move Over Michelangelo

I seem to amaze myself.

Not to toot my own horn or anything but for someone who started off drawing names in a cute font...this little guy turned out pretty good.

Another Project...cause I needed more

Check out this little fabric flower I 'threw' together to match a dress I made for little Miss Delaney's 1st birthday. I really need to do up a tutorial so everyone can see how easy this stuff is! The flower is made from scraps and the headband is from Target.
Next I'll show you pictures of the silk flower headband I 'threw' together for Connor on Monday-even easier than this fabric flower!

This is a custom order I did for my dear sister for the baby shower she will not be attending this weekend. Classic Pooh? And I thought Dora was difficult...But I suprised myself with Pooh's 'vintage' look.

Cora Paige Total!!

Today would have been Cora's First Birthday! In honor of this day we, Etsians, made our donations!!! Cora's parents and grandparents were told the total around noon today, when they were meeting with the playground planners and I am sure they were overwhelmed with the news...as of this afternoon the total was
$15,067.93!!!!

Cora's mom and grammy opened an Etsy shop to help with the fund raising. I got an email this morning from our coordinator for our sales, checked their etsy shop this afternoon to find only 2 items left!

May not seem like a big deal, till you look to see how many items they have sold already.

Tiny Pumpkins- Page 2

I finally posted enough items that I have 2 pages!!! Wow, wait...is that good or bad? I mean, it's good cause that means my store is growing...but not good because I am posting more than I am selling. Then again, the last 2 piggies I posted are personal sales.... so that's ok. I am having issues keeping up with my buckets...I sell them as quickly as I post them...now that's a good thing. Yeah to PAGE 2!

Check out my newest addition to my etsy page...A Dora Pig! I actually impressed myself with this one! She actually looks like Dora!
And yes, the girl's name is way too long. I told my customer (a co-worker) "that little girl needs a nickname already!"

Cora Paige

Meet Cora Paige Such an angel, with such a story. Take some time to read about this baby girl, who was taken to be with God last week...it makes my heart cry. I am amazed at how having a child of your own changes your views and adds so much more meaning into every little thing life brings. I'm not good with these kinds of emotions so I ask that you read for yourself and click the link to the right.

Cora's family is building a playground in her name and the proceeds for the items sold on etsy, in her name, will be donated to that fund. I've added a couple items from my store and ask you to check out all the great finds other's have donated as well. You can even check out ETSY itself and do a search for "Cora Paige" to view all the items donated.

It is amazing what this blogging community can do...just amazing.
