Acceptable Headgear

This one's for my MIL. She bought Connor this cute hat that probably won't get the amount of wear time it deserves. And the outfit below... that will see plenty of wear time! I L-O-V-E the headband that matches the leggings...she actually left it on. SO CUTE!Ignore the plug...the removal process is a work in progress...a long work in progress!

Spots, Dots and Mod Podge

Well, my new crafting space has been fun to create...and my friend Mod Podge has helped me out with the transformation. I tried something I see those way too creative people doing in magazines and on crafting blogs...I re-did some old, plain, UGLY pieces I had.
Check out my old cubes...
Now look at my new cubes!
And look at my paper/magazine holders! These have been sitting in my office at work, unused...till I brought them home and dressed them up! I've only done one so far...but I look forward to designing the other 2 to match. I just have NO CLUE what to do with them! (see the before on the right...ugly!)

Aren't they too cute!

Craft Space Remodeling

I have been working on organizing and re-organizing my craft space and am getting pretty excited! I used to have everything crammed into our spare bedroom...where I would never actually sit and work. So I decided to move it all into the loft and start the transformation!
This turned out to be a project that sounded like a great idea...till I started. I am exhausted and could use sleep more than a creative crafting space...but I want to finish! Here is what I started with...crap just moved and piled high. I haven't crafted in sooo long that there was NO rhyme or reason to anything. It was completely unorganized! i had tubs and boxes and crates and bags full of anything and everything. So far the area has gotten me excited about scrapbooking again! What do you think?I cleaned out ALL my drawer and bins then I organized and labeled each one!
I am especially excited because I can work on projects and not only have my tools within reach, I can leave my projects at any time, then sit back down and start where I left off!
(I know my wall looks empty...that parts still a work in progress)
I even set up my sewing machine so it's ready for use...one day.

Yeah to my new crafting space and Yeah to motivation! It's still a work in progress (I have some shelves to put up) but it's perfect so far and I am super happy to get to work!

9:30 am

I am at work and working...really, I am. But I had to stop and do this post. It is 9:30am and this is what our daugther has eaten:
A large toasted blueberry bagel, with cream cheese (yes, she ate the whole thing!)
A few handfuls of trix (during the car ride to work)
4 peanut butter crackers
Half my banana nut muffin
and her cup of milk!
And it's only 9:30!!! Where does she put it all?
wait, i just put her down for a nap and she reached over and pulled the last 2 crackers off the counter...we may have to add 2 more to the list.
btw-I asked her to smile for the camera so I could take a picture of her with her muffin and this is how she posed...

Cheese Head!

Just hanging out

I always look forward to the winter months in the summer, and the summer in the winter. Why is that? The grass is always greener right. Well, we went to Target last night and they have THE cutest sandals already out for Connor. I tried them on her just to get an idea of what I look forward to. So Cute!!! Anyhow, Tuesday night was comfortable weather. Andres set up a blanket and sat Connor down to hang out and watch dad at work. She loves being outside and hanging out with her dad. They had fun chasing each other around and playing with Becks...till the sprinklers came on!

Where have I been?

Ok, so i have been crazy busy with work, family, tinypumpkins and sleeping. I finally signed onto facebook tonight to approve a friend request I got while checking my email... and I found 82 request for anything from a 'snowball request' to a 'bumper sticker request'. Good lordy peeps...that's a lot of requests. However, I may have to 'ignore' some of them. Sorry, I've got piggys to paint and

Miss Thang!

Connor, Andres and I were hanging out in the front yard the other day...Connor thought she was hot stuff!

Yes, she kept the glasses on the whole time...and I didn't force her this time!

A Nice Meal

You know you're at a classy restaurant when they put a basket of tampons in the women's restroom and trust you won't empty it into your purse. Now that's a nice joint! And yes, I only took one. I swear!

What the?

So I was watching the Golden Globes last night and thought most people looked so nice!

Then Sting came out to present... um? Not too sure what he's been up to, but whatever it is, his wife seems to have joined him. Please note, there is a person with longer hair (?) standing behind her but I'm having trouble telling which parts are her and which are his/hers...either way it's not helping their case.

Cute Items for Sale!

So I just added a new project to my Etsy page. The piggys are selling like hot cakes...well compared to the clippies they are. Check out my personalized coffee tumblers...I think they are cute enough to buy!

Happy New Year!!

Our New Years was spent with the VanClan! We started off with snacks...Connor got her own cup due to the fact she used one chip as a spoon to eat just the dip...dip and lick, dip and lick...
Marisa and Derek joined the festivities and Connor loved on D all night!
Andres loved on him too!The kids kept themselves occupies with games...
At least I thought there were playing games...it appears as though Madison got a hold of my camera and left me a nice suprise!
The adults played their own game of 90's trivial pursuit.
But Tina and I got tired of not knowing any of the answers, so we played with the camera too.Andres on the other hand, sat back and just answered to answer. It was the craziest thing...not only did he know most of the answers, he would just randomly blurt them out, forgetting who's turn it was, or wasn't!Then it hit midnight and we headed outside to make some noise. Afterwards heading back in to call it a night and say goodbye.
Tiffany and Madison gave Connor some lovin for the New Year (putting up a fight!)Thanks Vanclan, for a Happy New Year celebration!

*BTW-Andres is the living room reading the trivial pursuit questions right now, taking a refresher course I guess...just kidding, he's just one smart cookie! (i like cookies!)
